Hi – I’m Annika. I love to be creative – I make jewellery, paint and do illustrations. One day I’d love to illustrate a faery tale book for children and have my designs on textiles. Having grown up in the bush, I have always drawn inspiration from nature. I also love looking at the old master’s paintings and reading folk lore to fuel my imagination. At the moment, I’m really keen on sewing. My parents gave me a sewing machine for my 30th birthday recently – it was the present I never knew I needed. Now I’m hooked! I’ve got some time off work at the moment, and I plan to make myself lots of beautiful clothes.
During the School term I travel around teaching art to children. I love to be able to share my passion for art; It can get very busy but I always manage to squeeze in time for my own creative projects. On Sundays my partner and I have a coffee stall at the market, We’re called Fine Fellows Coffee, he roasts and blends his own coffee. I love the market because we get to meet so many different people and create a great experience for our customers!
